Kingsclere Ranch Ltd. located at 3201 Campbell Rd, Parson, BC, is seeking a Farm Manager. Rural area, remote location. English speaking workplace.  Start Date:  July, 2020

Wage: $3,600.00/month. (Approx. $20.00/hour) (wage increase upon performance review after three months)
Housing with utilities includes. (In addition to wage)

Education: Basic (work experience) (or training programs)
Experience: 5 years

Livestock: Beef Cattle/cow/calving/calves
Crop: Hay or Straw baling/alfalfa/pasture/variety of crops
Machinery: Farm and haying machinery/fencing/ranch feeding equipment/baler/truck-trainer/irrigation systems/equipment maintenance.

Kingsclere Ranch, is located in the beautiful Columbia valley, south of Golden, BC. Currently seeking someone strong in the raising of our beef cattle. Applicants must have an excellent background in cow husbandry, health and calving and farming. Applicants must be able to check and work with cattle on foot, quad and horseback.

We place a strong emphasis on family values as well as work life balance. We are located in an dream area for outdoor play. The Golden area is popular for outdoor sports such as, skiing, hiking, fishing, hunting, motorsports and paragliding.

Duties:
Beef cattle heard: (Must be able to check and work with cattle on foot, quad and horseback)
-calving
-herd records
-feeding, herd health and animal husbandry
-field checks
-fencing
-light equipment work and maintenance
-head selection and culling

-AI with Certification

-Semen Testing

-Perform Cesarean Sections

-Perform Genetic Testing

Farming:
-field equipment operation
-irrigation management - pivots and reel guns - Pivot Safety is an asset
-operation of equipment
-fencing
-land preparation

Seeking someone with interest and willingness to learn and grow in the business. With a good attitude and willingness to learn.

Wage based on an average of 180 hours per month over the year. Hours may differ depending on the season.
