Truck-Trailer Drivers wanted

Is seeking five (5) experienced truck-trailer drivers.  Start date as soon as possible.

Must be able to drive truck and trailer long distances.  Must be able to cross Canada-US border.  Must have, or be able to obtain, Class 1 driver's license with air-brake endorsement.  Must have at least 7 months' experience. Must have graduated from high school (secondary school).  Must be able to communicate in English (oral and written).

Must be willing to travel cross-border, willing to travel for extended periods, drive manual transmission semi-trailer vehicle and be willing to travel overnight.

You will need:

Valid passport, criminal record check, medical exam, driver's validity license check, driving record check (abstract)

Experience operating GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, trip recorder (on-board computer), inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), driver logbook

Must be able to load and unload goods (up to 50 lbs), transport and handle dangerous goods, perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.  Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, receive and relay information to central dispatch, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.

Pay will be 48 cents per mile, or $20.00 per hour, whichever is more.  40-50 hours / week.
