We are looking for a permanent Front Desk Supervisor to join our team at the Coast Hillcrest Hotel in Revelstoke.

Overview:

Responsible for the management of all aspects of the Front Desk functions, in accordance with hotel standards. Directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff.


Job requirements:

Education:

-       Secondary education, college is a plus.

Experience:

-       Minimum 1 year experience as a front desk clerk.

-       Supervisor experience preferred but not essential.

Language:

-       Required to speak, read and write English.

General Skills:

-       Ability to perform tasks with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

-       Be able to prioritize, organize and follow up efficiently.

-       Work cohesively with colleagues from all departments.

-       Basic accounting and budgeting skills preferred.

-       Excellent communication skills required.

Technical Skills:

-       Accountability – Ability to use initiative to take responsibility for tasks and problem solving.

-       Leadership – Ability to lead by example and set clear guidelines for employees.

-       Team work – Ability to coach and develop others on a continual basis.

Job Description

-       Direct, oversee and manage the daily operations for our organization including coordinating, assigning and supervising the work of staff members and establishing work schedules.

-       Uphold and enforce company policies and procedures and implement new processes.

-       Suggest changes to operating standards in order to improve the efficiency of work.

-       Set departmental goals and create plans of action for achieving them.

-       Work with HR department to resolve employee issues and complaints.

-       Set up and attend company meetings as required.

-       Train new employees in company processes and procedures.

-       Maintain open lines of communication between all departments.
