Job Description

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Overtime required, Physically demanding, Sitting

Work Location Information: Willing to relocate, Relocation costs covered by the employer

Personal Suitability: Flexibility, Organized, Reliability, Team player

Additional Skills: Mountain driving expertise

Documentation Knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Driver logbook, Bill of lading

Specific Skills

Load and unload goods, Perform preventive maintenance, Perform emergency roadside repairs, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Transportation/Travel Experience: National, International, Long-haul

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Flatbed

Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Credentials: (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
