Job Description
Job duties:
- Prepare and cook stock, soup and sauce for ramen dishes;
- Boil ramen noodles;
- Make and present ramen dishes;
- Prepare and make toppings for ramen dishes such as Chashu (slow cooked pork/chicken) and marinated egg;
- Prepare and present side dishes such as Chicken Karaage and Gyoza;
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances when requested;
- Teach and train newly hired cooks and kitchen helpers in preparation, cooking and handling of food, stock and soup;
- Supervise and direct kitchen helpers;
- Help the management recruit and hire kitchen staff;
- Maintain inventory and records of ingredients, food, supplies and equipment, and place orders as necessary;
- Clean, organize and inspect kitchen and work areas;
- Suggest and plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies;
- Manage kitchen operations when required
