Laborers will be carrying out general labour and routine wood processing activities.

Job Description

* Main duties?Labourers will perform some or all of the following duties:
* Feed cedar planks onto the conveyor and into the hopper of the grinding machine and align planks and shingles manually, using crowbars or other tools and equipment
* Load wood both raw and finished products using a forklift or other powered equipment
* Sort, pile, and transport lumber, sheets, panel-boards, and similar wood products during various stages of wood processing, manually or with powered equipment
* Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing using forklift or other powered equipment
* Feed conveyors, saws, drying machines, and other equipment to process lumber, shingles and plywood, and other cedar products
* Clean wood processing machines and equipment and work areas using shovels, hoses, and other tools
* Assist foreman to operate, maintaining, and repairing various machines and equipment and carrying out other wood processing activities.

* Employment requirements
* Completion of secondary school is required
* No experience required all training will be done on the job
