Jiya’s Hair Salon is looking for an experienced Hairdresser for a full-time position for our Salon located in Surrey, BC. The ideal candidate must be professional and possess a customer centric attitude and great work ethic.
Job Duties:
- Interact with clients to understand their hair styling requirements
- Suggest a hair style compatible with client’s looks and take instructions from client as per their preferences
- Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair according to client's instructions or preferences
- Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting.
- Perform various tasks as per clients’ needs such as applying bleach, rinses to colour, dyes, tints, frost or streak/ highlights hair etc.
- Evaluate hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair
- Shampoo and rinse hair & perform hair spa
- Supervise and train other hairstylists and other staff, when required
- Perform other duties as instructed by the manager
- Book appointments

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Starting date: As soon as possible

Ability to Supervise: 1 to 2 people

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
