Job Description
Company Description: Ben Thanh Vietnamese restaurant (Cambridge) has been providing quality Vietnamese and Thai food for our customers for many years within the region. We are a part of the Ben Thanh Vietnamese restaurant Group that has over 5 locations spread out within the GTA region and are looking for an experienced restaurant manager to join our amazing team!
Key Responsibilities:
. Review, manage and operate towards the business goals and financial targets as established by Regional Management
. Provide suggestions on operational improvements that drive restaurant sales and reduce costs
. Isolate opportunities and best practices to boost profitability
. Alignment and maintaining margins according to plan ensuring inventory accuracy
. Manage the floor while on shift – oversee the floor with food running, bussing, expo, and table maintenance
. Scheduling staff, onboarding, training Front of House team
. Administrative leadership including inventory tracking, purchasing, POS system management, reservation system management, updating menus, creating, and maintaining SOPs
. Handling customer complaints and ensure that customer expectation is met or exceeded by company standards
. Plan and coordinate menus with the Regional Management
. Practicing safe food handling procedures while always maintaining a clean and safe environment for the restaurant
. Review, Support and provide suggestions on corporate HR Department’s employee policies, procedures, and programs for a consistent experience for all employees



Qualification:

. Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent restaurant work experience is required
. 6+ years experience in a managerial role of a full-service fast flow restaurant.
. Passionate about the food industry and have excellent insight into market trends.
. Previous experience with inventory tracking, purchasing & restaurant system management
. Previous expertise in boosting brand recognition and brand promotion
. Strong leadership skills with an entrepreneurial spirit
. Effective conflict management skills
. Proven record of hiring, coaching, training and building a solid front house team
. Strong communication skills.
