Hours of operation at the facility are Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm, hours may be extended based on operational requirements.

Job Description
Get ready to build your career as we continue to build our company. The Truss Maker, Wood assembles a variety of wood products including roof trusses, floor systems and wall panels. Inspectors inspect wood products to ensure product quality.

As a valuable member of our truss plant team your duties will also include:
• Read production orders and diagrams
• Trim wooden parts to be assembled using hand and power tools
• Assemble wood products such as doors and ladders using screws, bolts or other fasteners
• Assemble door panels, trusses, modular components and other parts on assembly line using jigs, overhead cranes and hand and power tools
• Reinforce assembled products with dowelling or other supports, and install hardware such as hinges
• May assist with maintenance of machinery.
• Complete general clean-up duties as assigned
• Inspect wood products for conformance to quality standards
• Mark defective parts or products for repair/ Replace damaged or non-conforming lumber
• Make minor adjustments and repairs
• Record information on products inspected.

The successful candidate will:
• Have a safety mindset & demonstrate high attention to detail
• Be physically able to repeatedly, stand, walk and lift/carry over 50lbs
• The ability to work in a fast paced team environment is essential
• Steel toed safety boots are required
• Previous Truss manufacturing and/or Wall framing experience is an asset but not required
• Hearing test required as condition of employment
