Job Description:

Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
Conduct performance reviews
Organize and maintain inventory
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
Participate in marketing plans and implementation
Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
Address customers’ complaints or concerns
Provide customer service
Recruit, train and supervise staff
Ensure orders are given out within our standard service times (6 minutes or less)
Organize and assign positions to the team members, and ensure they follow Firehouse standards and guidelines
Monitor and log food waste
Monitor and prep items for the shifts
Input invoices in the back office software
Product and inventory management and rotation
Keep the restaurant clean and operating at Firehouse standards

Requirements



Education: Completion of secondary school OR other programs related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is required.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, a post-secondary certificate related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is required.

– Computer and technology knowledge: Point of sale system, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Windows.

- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Standing for extended periods, Walking

- Personal Suitability: Flexibility, Team player, Efficient interpersonal skills, Client focus, Reliability, Organized, Dependability

- Language: English is required

- Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).



Salary: $20.00 to $22.00 hourly, 40-44 hours per week

Benefits: 50% discount on meals during shifts and 25% discount off shifts. Transportation will be provided if the worker needs to relocate. Work t-shirts and hats provided by employer.



Important Information: Flexibility on schedule is required. The regular work schedule will be from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm OR from 2:00 pm to 9:30 pm/10:30 pm, with 2 days off per week on a rotating basis. Work on weekends is required. Overtime may be required.
