Position Title: Carpenter

Address: Various Job sites surrounding St. Thomas and Chatham areas

Role and Responsibilities:

· Excellent understanding of carpentry with hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials, techniques, and methods of installation and construction, particularly in residential renovations

· Drywalling: cut, shape, smooth lumber, and other material according to measurements and blueprints;

· Framing: measure and order new windows, install and build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame walls with wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials;

· Flooring: measure and order materials and install all types of flooring;

· Kitchen renovations: install kitchen cupboards and countertops;

· Bathroom renovations: install tub surround, toilets, vanities, plumbing and hook up

· Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers measuring tools)

· Ability to read and understand blueprints in English, communicate and follow directions of the assigned work orders, and willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times

Qualifications and Experience:

High school completion
2-3 years of experience
Ability to communicate in English

Job Location: Various sites in and around St. Thomas, London, and Chatham (Ontario).
Compensation: $29.00 per hour; 40-hour work week (overtime if required)
Duration: Permanent, full-time, non-seasonal position
