Salary: $17.31 to $18.00 / Hour (To be negotiated)

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time; 30 to 40 Hours / Week
Start date: As soon as possible
Employment conditions: may be on call and may work overtime; shifts may be in the morning/day, evening/night or weekend
Languages: English
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Security and Safety: Criminal record check and Adult Abuse Registry
Transportation/Travel Information: public transportation is available; willing to travel
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: bending, crouching, kneeling; combination of sitting, standing, walking; overtime required; physically demanding; repetitive tasks
Work Location Information: Work in employer's/client's home
Work Site Environment: Non-smoking
Personal Suitability: punctuality, dependability, flexibility, initiative, excellent oral communication, judgement, reliability, client focus
Experience with Special Needs Adult: Assistance with mobility
Specific Skills:
Administer medications
Administer bedside and personal care
Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
Collect specimens
Cook meals and assist in feeding
Shop for food and household supplies
Provide personal care
Plan therapeutic diets and menus
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties,
Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Work Setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Health Care Aide Certificate or related education/training; CPR Certificate; First Aid Certificate
