JALLY TRUCKING LTD. is a commercial trucking company located in Edmonton, Alberta. In order to be a leader in quality & safety, we rely on a large fleet of experienced, highly-trained drivers. We are currently looking for 3 long haul truck drivers. 

 

Primary work /office location: 16216- 49 Street NW, Edmonton, AB, T5Y 3H5.

We Offer: 

• $26.70 per hour

• 40-50 hours/week schedule

• Term of employment: full time, permanent

• Start date: as soon as possible

Job Description

Main Duties:

• Assist in loading goods on the truck and ensure that they are stacked and secured properly

• Take inventory of loaded goods in order to make sure that the correct quantity is loaded

• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials

• Perform regular and preventative maintenance on the truck prior to setting off

• Perform any repairs that may need to carried out especially during roadside emergency

• Use GPS and / or maps to chart out the best route which is time and fuel efficient

• Performed pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection of the vehicle

• Ensure that all documentation pertaining to travelling between provinces or countries is in order

• Assist with unloading goods and ensure quantity checks

• Obtain signatures from the party to whom the goods have been delivered to

 


Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to speak English

• No degree, certificate or diploma

• Air Brakes Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

• Experience an asset

• Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50lbs)

 

Transportation/Travel Information:

Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Valid driver's licence, Willing to travel overnight

Work location information: various locations

Successful candidate must possess effective interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication skills, flexible, team player, attentive to detail and be able to do long sitting.
