Angels Childcare Learning Centre is a facility found at the corner of Dufferin
& St. Clair ave W (North of St. Clair). A nurturing and positive atmosphere
is established by our warm and friendly staff who are all qualified in Early
Childhood Education. Our centre is bright, happy and provides many stimulating
spaces to learn and play.
Position:
Early Child Educator
Wage:
18.50 cad/hour
Hours per
week: 40 hours
Employment
type: permanent; full-time
Overtime
rate: 27.75 cad/ hour, starting after 44 hours per week
Annual
Vacation: 10 business days per year
Job
Duties:
·
Programming
for toddler age;
·
Lead
activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs;
·
Observe
children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare
reports for parents, guardians or supervisor;
·
Develop
and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical,
cognitive, emotional and social development of children;
·
Assess
the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems
with parents and other staff members;
·
Guide
and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet
habits;
·
Feeding
children;
Qualifications:
·
Completion
of a two- to four-year college program in early childhood education or a
bachelor's degree in child development
·
Japanese
language is an asset
·
Understanding
of Japanese culture is an asset
·
Experience
an asset
·
Ability
to Supervise: 5-10 people
·
Security
and Safety: Immunization records, Tuberculosis test, Vulnerable sector check
·
Credentials:
Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Early Childhood Education (ECE)
Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate

Transportation/Travel

music and physical activity, Guide and assist children in the development of

guardians or supervisor, Knowledge of Day Nurseries Act, Knowledge of licensing
regulations, Establish guidelines for behaviour, Assess the abilities,
interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents
and other staff members, Establish and maintain collaborative relationships
with co-workers and community service providers working with children, Plan and
maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
