Salary: $16.00 hourly for 40 hours per week

Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required
- Completion of secondary (high) school is required
- 3 years to less than 5 years of work experience as a cook or a chef in an established restaurant is required
- Experience of working in a Japanese restaurant and/or knowledge on Japanese cuisine is an asset
Job duties:
- Prepare and present Nigiri Sushi, Aburi Oshi Sushi (torched and pressed Sushi), Sashimi, and Sushi Rolls;
- Prepare, cook, and present Japanese appetizers and dishes such as Tofu or Seaweed Salad, Aburi Beef Carpaccio, Chicken Nanban, Saikyo Miso Baked Fish, and Tempura;
- Prepare and present Kaiseki (feature course menu);
- Prepare, cook, and present appetizers and dishes on the menu on a regular basis;
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances upon request;
- Create new recipes;
- Train cooks and kitchen helpers in preparation, cooking, handling, garnishing and presentation of food;
- Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory;
- Requisition ingredients, supplies, and equipment;
- Clean and inspect kitchen and work areas
