Qualifications:

- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;

- Completion of secondary (high) school is required;

- 2 years to less than 3 years of work experience as a chef in a restaurant is required

Job Description

Job duties:

- Plan and implement new restaurant set-ups and new projects;

- Attend corporate operations meetings to report and discuss kitchen operations;

- Supervise activities of Corporate Cooks, Chefs, Cooks and Kitchen Helpers;

- Ensure and control quality of dishes according to the company's quality standards or regulations as well as the concept of each restaurant;

- Create new recipes;

- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants;

- Suggest/plan new menus according to the restaurants' concepts, determine size of food portions and presentation of food, and estimate cost, together with the management of each restaurant;

- Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory;

- Oversee kitchen operation, together with the management of each restaurant;

- Analyze operating costs and other data;

- Requisition food and kitchen supplies;

- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions;

- Prepare, cook and present Japanese dishes on the menus;

- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances upon request;

- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;

- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
