Salary: $15.00 hourly for 40 hours per week

Qualifications: 

- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required; 

- Completion of secondary (high) school is required; 

- 2 years to less than 3 years of related work experience in a restaurant

Job Description

Job duties: 

- Supervise and manage kitchen staff and servers; 

- Train kitchen staff and servers in sanitation and safety procedures; 

- Train staff in job duties;

- Prepare and submit daily sales reports to management; 

- Establish work schedules, and methods and plans to meet the schedules for kitchen staff and servers; 

- Manage a restaurant cash register; 

- Prepare budget and cost estimates;

- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage;

- Order supplies and beverages, and ensure a healthy level of stock is always maintained;

- Ensure food service and quality control is properly implemented; 

- Address customers' complaints or concerns;

- Recruit, interview, and hire food service staff

Other information: 

- Work experience in Japanese restaurants and having knowledge of Japanese tapas and dishes is an asset 

- Ability to Supervise: 11-15 people 

- Workers Supervised: Cook (general), Food and beverage servers, Kitchen and food service helpers 

- Work Setting: Restaurant 

- Work Location Information: On-site customer service 

- Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
