Aoyama Sushi located at; 2766 & 2770 Victoria Park Avenue, Toronto Ontario M2J 4A8, is looking for a Japanese Grill & Tempura Cook specializing in preparing authentic grilled & tempura Japanese cuisine dishes. Salary offer is; $18.00 per hour for 40.0 hours per week.

 

 

Qualifications;

·          Must have a minimum of one year of experience in preparing and cooking authentic Japanese cuisine such as; grilled meats and vegetables and deep fried (tempura) fish, seafood and vegetables.  

·          Must have skill in decorating and presentation of authentic Japanese dishes

·          Must be able to work evenings, weekends and overtime as assigned

·          Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment

·          Completion of secondary (high) school is required

·          Basic oral English is required

Job Description

·          Prepare and cook various authentic Japanese cuisine dishes such as;, grilled meats and vegetables and deep fried (tempura) fish, seafood and vegetables

·          Prepare, cook and properly present cold and hot Japanese cuisine appetizers

·          Ensure proper portion sizes and that servings are of the highest food quality

·          Train and supervise kitchen staff in their relevant duties of preparation, cooking and handling of food

·          Ensure kitchen is clean and safe for food preparation in accordance with the company health and safety guidelines

·          Assist in managing kitchen operations in the absence of chef, if required
