At Gyoza Bar, our menu focuses on conventional Japanese comfort food with an innovative twist. Inspired by the diversity of Vancouver, we created a menu that integrates international flavours with traditional recipes. Here you can find all your classic favourites such as the Pork Teppan Gyoza and Tamari-Shoyu Tonkotsu Pork ramen. You can also try our more creative items such as the Korean Spiced Pork Rib Bao Board and the Lettuce Wrapped Crispy Chicken Taco.

As a BOH Team Member, you will play an integral role in the daily running of the restaurant.

Work Location: 622 W. Pender Street, Vancouver, BC, V6G 2S3

Working Criteria: Permanent, 40 hrs/week

Salary: $15.00 per hour

Vacation: 4% of gross salary

Benefit: Extended Health Care after three-month employment

Job Description

Ramen & Gyoza Cook Qualifications:

Completion of secondary School
At least 2 years of experience cooking in a restaurant
Previous experience preparing Ramen or any Japanese cuisine preferred
Fluent in English
Passion for food and people
Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure

 

Ramen & Gyoza Cook Duties:

Prepares and cooks food from the menu

Maintains sanitation standards throughout the kitchen to comply with Provincial regulations

Supervises kitchen helpers

Ensures food quality in presentation and production

Assist other cooks (especially line cooks)s

Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
