Long-haul Truck Driver

We are currently looking for 6 (six) full-time permanent Long-haul Truck Drivers to join our team in Richmond, BC.

Vega Line Moving & Storage Services has a great reputation in the moving industry, we specialize in residential, commercial and business moves within North America. The team at Vega Line is able to help with all aspects of the move. Customers will save time and money while movers ensure that cherished household items are safely transported to the new location.

Responsibilities:

·         Plan the trip and obtain documents for transportation of goods

·         Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle

·         Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

·         Load and unload goods

·         Maintain driver’s logbook and administer bills of ladings.

Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailer, long-combination vehicle and straight-body trucks weighing over 4500 kg to transport goods and materials over long distances

Job Description

Requirements:

·         Class 1/A Driver’s License (can function the vehicle above 4500kgs) or equivalent is required  

·         High school diploma.

·         Complete of an accredited driver training course up to 3 months durations is preferred.

·         Experience is an asset

Remuneration:

·         Full-time permanent 40hr per week

·         $25 per hour.
