Japanese cuisine cook (street food/sauces)

 

Full time and permanent position

$17 an hour for 40 hours each week

Location: 707 Dundas Street West, Toronto, Ontario M5T 2W6

Employer covers relocation costs 


Main duties

Prepare a variety of Japanese street food dishes; prepare specialty sauces; develop new menu items and food products; train and educate staff in proper food, equipment handling and cooking; maintain and inspect industrial kitchen equipment; ensure product costs are within the budget; clean and maintain kitchen and workplace areas.

Food Specialties

 

Japanese regional street foods, Japanese fermented foods; soups, sauces, stock. Meat; poultry, seafood.

 

Requirements

 

Minimum 2 years experience with preparation of Japanese street food & sauces in high volume kitchen environment

Minimum secondary school education 

English language skills

Ability to lift 25kg.

Ability to supervise and train 4-6 individuals.

Ability to work within tight deadlines, fast-paced environment, reliable and accurate.
