Job Recruitment Details:

Wage: $18.5/hr

Hours: 37.5 hrs/week

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Qualification:

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year;
ECEA certification & valid license to practice (or actively enrolled in courses);
Proof of college/course enrolment;
Emergency Childcare CPR, AED First Aid Certificate;
Criminal Record Check;
2 References;
Experience in child care is required;
Patient, nurturing and flexible;
Ability to work well in a team;
Fluent in English.

Gear the day-to-day activities and plans to the needs of the individual child with concerns for his/her interests, special needs, talents;
Observe/document children for signs of learning disabilities or emotional problems;
Support and maintain a high-quality environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children;
Maintain positive and supportive working relationships with parents, staff and members of the community;
Plan, implement, and coordinate programs for the preschool age children following the polices and beliefs of Meadow Ridge Centre for Childcare (with co-workers);
Practices appropriate conflict resolution strategies with children, families, staff and owners;
Work in partnership to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
