Job Description
Job duties are as follows but not limited to:
• Plan and co-ordinate work of associates engaged in the following duties: shipping, receiving, distributing, and maintaining inventories and returns of materials and products.
• Supervise a team of warehouse employees.
• Lead, guide and direct warehouse employees as needed to include setting targets, monitoring performance, providing coaching, counseling, and development.
• Perform essential employee training, including forklift and safe operating procedures.
• Perform regular employee performance evaluation.
• Conduct weekly physical counts of received and shipped freights. Reconcile variances and maintain proper data.
• Ensure shipment and inventory transaction accuracy.
• Solve problems regarding lost and missing freight.
• Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems.
• Maintain warehouse area by organizing floor space and by adhering to storage design principles.
• Take into account full implications of freight turnover, size, weight, and other factors when allocating warehouse space.
• Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; make adjustments where necessary.
• Assess the need for and arrange the repair and maintenance of moving equipment like trailers, forklifts, dollies, and so on.
• Develop and/or enforce corporate policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment.
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and workflow.
• Recommend measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and work crew and equipment performance.

Job Requirements:
• Post-Secondary School education
• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in Logistics and Transportation, ideally in an outbound and/or inbound coordination role.
• Experience with DFS system is a must.
