What We Are Looking For

Proactive Supply Chain Group (“Proactive”) is currently seeking a Warehouse Agent/Forklift Operator for a full-time position. The position will be based at Proactive’s facilities located at 67 Simpson Rd, Bolton, Ontario, L7E 4J7.

Job Duties

As Warehouse Agent/Forklift Operator, you would be responsible to carry out daily tasks in compliance with SOPs while contributing to the efficiency of daily duties as follows:

• Move merchandize from one place to another using the forklift, Reach or Turret.
• Operate other mechanical devices and/or other controls that operate lifting devices like lifting Roll and pallets.
• Load, unload and move merchandise using the WMS.
• Inspect products to be moved for accuracy and safely move them to location using scan gun.
• Load and offload trucks using the scan gun.
• Ensure coordination of incoming and outgoing trucks.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out various warehouse and logistics operations duties such as:
• Shipping, receiving, material handling and inventory control tasks in support of the team’s daily activities using powered material handling equipment.
• Primary focus is on material put away, and order picking.
• Ensuring facility is clean and maintained throughout your shift
• Ability to read and understand the company SOPs
• Understanding of all warehouse accounts
• Reporting any problems to your direct supervisor to allow for a safe and healthy work environment
• Ensure the practice of Health and Safety on a daily basis
• Staff will be cross-trained, flexible and able to move around within the team as demands and priorities change.
• Show professionalism everyday towards all departments, staff, carriers, customers, and drivers.
• Attitude is expected to be positive, motivated, and focused always.

This position requires a deep understanding of supply chain management and the logistics industry. The successful candidate will possess:
• Some forklift operation experience would be considered an asset
• Some familiarity in warehouse operations
• Training: DOT HAZMAT, OSHA, HAZWOPER
• Certification: Forklift operator and Fall protection
• At least a high school diploma
• Good English language skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work with heavy materials

What We Offer

This a full-time position with the following benefits:

• Hourly rate of $21.50, overtime rate of $32.25 applies after 44 hours of work per week
• At least 40 hours of work per week
• Extended Medical Benefits
• The successful candidate will be entitled to two (2) weeks’ paid vacation after the first year of employment.
