Global Montessori Tsawwassen Childcare, established in 2011 in Delta, BC, is a well-recognized Montessori early learning centre offering programs for children aged 2.5 to 12 years old. We provide Montessori Learning, Daycare, and Before & After School Care programs in a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment. Our teaching philosophy emphasizes hands-on learning, independence, and supporting the holistic development of every child. We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) to join our team.
Duties:
• Interact directly with children to provide high-quality care in a healthy and safe environment.
• Assist in planning and implementing a consistent, child-centered learning program.
• Follow the center’s teaching methods to prepare circle time and hands-on activities.
• Establish and maintain positive daily communication with families.
• Support and coordinate activities with Early Childhood Educators and maintain effective communication.
• Assist senior staff in monitoring children during indoor/outdoor play and rest periods.
• Attend to children’s physical needs, including diapering, toileting, eating, and sleeping.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment, including classrooms, common areas, and washrooms.
• Ensure all safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed.
• Attend staff meetings to discuss children’s progress, challenges, and program improvements.
• Maintain punctuality, professional appearance, and consistent attendance.
Qualifications:
• Secondary school graduation or higher education.
• Valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) Certificate.
• At least one year of directly related work experience.
• Genuine passion for working with children and ability to implement play-based learning activities.
• Montessori experience or certification is an asset.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to ongoing learning.
• Bilingual ability is an asset.
• Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid Certificate.
• Clear Criminal Record Check required.
• Additional training related to early childhood development is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
