Job Details Position : Heavy Duty Cleaner

Wage : $20.03 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week

Job duties
1. Clean and maintain production bays, washing stations, storage areas, loading zones, floors, walls, work surfaces, and equipment used in industrial container reconditioning operations.
2. Operate industrial cleaning equipment, including high-pressure washers, industrial vacuum cleaners, and automated washing systems, to remove dirt, heavy debris, industrial residue, spills, and other contaminants safely and efficiently.
3. Use appropriate detergents, degreasers, disinfectants, and other approved cleaning products in accordance with work instructions, WHMIS requirements, and company safety procedures.
4. Empty trash bins and collect, remove, and dispose of waste materials and industrial residue in accordance with the facility’s environmental handling and waste-disposal procedures.
5. Clean the interior and exterior of IBC totes, steel drums, and poly drums, as required as part of the company’s container reconditioning operations, to prepare them for safe inspection, handling, and reuse.
6. Inspect containers and surrounding work areas before and after cleaning and report damage, leaks, heavy contamination, spills, or other safety concerns to the supervisor.
7. Move and reposition cleaning equipment, pallets, containers, tools, and supplies as needed to keep production and storage areas clean, clear, organized, and safe.
8. Follow company safety and environmental procedures when cleaning areas where industrial containers, chemicals, and residual materials are handled.
9. Maintain safe access to the facility and surrounding grounds, including clearing snow and ice from walkways, entrances, loading areas, and outdoor storage areas during winter months when required.
