Job Responsibilities:
Chain link installation, Wood fence installation, Baseball diamonds fence installation, Retaining walls:
- Dig and set posts (line posts, terminal posts, gate posts) in concrete and ensure proper alignment.
- Install top rails, bottom wires, and tension bands.
- Stretch and secure chain link mesh to proper tension.
- Install gates, hinges, latches, and hardware.
- Ensure fence height, alignment, and finish meet project specifications.
- Install horizontal rails and supports.
- Cut, fit, and install fence boards (privacy, board-on-board, etc.)
- Build and install wood gates, including framing and hardware.
- Apply finishes to fences if required.
- Install backstops, dugouts, and fencing around the diamond.
- Install geotextile fabric for retaining wall if required.
- Place and level of wall blocks.
- Safely handle concrete, aggregates, and construction materials.
- Lift, carry and move heavy materials (pavers, blocks, posts, fencing, aggregates, lumber)
- Installation of softscape features such as planting, sod, and seed.
- Address deficiencies.
- Clean work area and remove excess materials.
- Verify locates of underground utilities before excavation.
- Follow instructions from site supervisor and assist in completing various administrative duties as required.

Job Requirements:
- Maintain and inspect tools and equipment daily.
- Follow all health & safety regulations, company policies, and procedures; actively participate in the company health and safety program.
- Always use proper PPE (hard hat, safety vest, gloves, safety boots, eye protection)
- Report hazards, incidents, and near misses immediately.
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- No minimum education requirement.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive bending, lifting, and shovelling.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 75lbs, team lifting for anything heavier.
- Ability to stand, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather and site conditions.
- Experience operating power tools.
- Knowledge of equipment such as excavators and skid steer is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of excavation and aggregate base preparation techniques is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
- Reliable transportation to and from work required.
- Completion of a Landscape Technician program considered an asset but not required.
- Demonstrate reliability, honesty, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and professionalism; represent the company in a positive manner.
