Job Details The cabinetmaker apprentice assists in crafting , assembly of cabinets and other architectural millwork to detailed specifications. Operating machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components. Study plans, specifications and drawings of articles to be made. Operate CADD, CNC and other computer software systems. Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished projects: prepare and apply laminated plastics while maintaining clean and safe work environments.
