Job Details Dragon Industrial Services Ltd. is looking for full time Refractory Bricklayer Helper at 413 24th Avenue, Nisku AB T9E 8J1 Canada. There are 8 positions available.

Hours of work are 40 hours/weeks (overtime paid after 44 hours). Pay is $28/hour. Successful candidates must speak English. No education or experience is required; will train the right candidate.

Job Description Main duties and responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:

• Load, unload and move refractory bricks, firebricks, mortar, and other materials to work areas
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, platforms, ramps, forms and barricades required for refractory work
• Mix and prepare mortar, refractory concrete and other materials according to specifications
• Assist tradespersons such as refractory bricklayers in preparing work areas for furnaces, kilns, boilers, chimneys and other refractory structures
• Assist refractory bricklayers in installation of refractory materials. This includes tasks such as demolition, micing of castables, operation machinery, and cutting materials.
• Measure, cut, and trim bricks, concrete blocks, and refractory materials using hand and power tools, as directed
• Assist in constructing, repairing and relining furnaces, kilns, boilers, chimneys and other refractory structures.
• Assist in laying, positioning, aligning and levelling bricks, firebricks and other masonry units.
• Remove damaged bricks, old refractory materials, rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
• Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in refractory and construction work such as mixers, compressors and pumps
• Clean up work areas and remove hazardous materials
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites
• Perform other general labour duties, as directed.
